Advent is coming. Our new church year begins December 2. We have four weeks to get ready, anticipate and wonder how hope, peace, joy and love will take shape in our lives this year. We keep coming back to Christmas because we still need the gifts of this season.
December 2 | Advent 1 | A New Year Begins. We light our advents candle and we look forward and we get an Advent spiritual practice to take home.
December 9 | Advent 2 | White Gift, and Lessons & Carols & Contemporary Readings.
December 16 | Advent 3 | Do you have a special Christmas ornament or one with a unique story? Would you bring it and share its story in our theme conversation?
December 21 | The Longest Night | 6:30pm |A quiet service to remember those we have loved and lost. Lighting a candle is a prayer. If you have prayers on your heart this Christmas for people, places or situations in your life or the world, please come.
December 23 | Advent 4 | Trinity children and youth present “Michael Mouse.” It’s a delightful story of a gift we all have to bring to the stable.
December 24 | Christmas Eve | 6:30pm | Room for a Little One. We celebrate with the animals who welcome the Child and like them, we offer praise. We light our real candles and sing Silent Night. Do you know it is the 200th anniversary of the writing of Silent Night?
December 30 | First Sunday after Christmas | Treasures in the Dark. While we wait for Epiphany, we honour the gifts that unfolded in the darkness.
